Registration is not currently required at the forums, however, you might find it more convenient to both yourself and the support members if you do register for an account. Here are some of the advantages of registering:

• Get email notices when a support member replies to your post
• Get messages sent directly to your own Private Messaging account when a member wants to follow up on a problem privately.
• You may store all your system information in your personal profile in order to make it easier, and quicker, for the the Support Team to help you.
• Occasionally, emails may be sent out to registered members to inform them of any major changes to the community or special events.
• As a member, you'll know when new topics/replies have been made with the aid of the flashing light bulbs to the left of each forum.

Basically, having an account gives you a unique username in the community and allows you to take advantage of all the board's features. Additionally, it makes it much easier for other members to get in touch with you via email, only if you allow it, or private messaging to ensure that your problem is fully resolved (most of the time, at least ).
