What are u expected to do there? localhost is actually the root folder of the folders in which ur web sites are stored & what do u mean by "didn't work"?
Browsing web folders by HTTP is disabled by default because of security.

so how do i get to localhost am i suspose to? because alot of tutorials say i use http://localhost to see if i installed apache correctly.

dosent this mean apache wasnt installed correctly?
bobhome
I think you would find that what that is, either the address is wrong, or the server is offline
usr.c
Could you post the contents of your install and error logs in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\logs or wherever else you installed the HTTP server.
