Hi, I would like to update me laptop wireless network software to this new protocol WPA wich is not available (only WEP) I dont know if it is built into the op system running an old version of XP pro or whether it is builty into the wirelesws network card ? which I have downloaded the latest drivers (RTL8180 5.163.1030.2003) tried to contact the manufacture as to wether this card will support the WPA encription and they have not replied nor can I find info on there site anyone out there who has the knoledge?

would be most happy for someone to edumakate me !

Your NIC must support WPA encryption. You may try updating the firmware or just getting a new NIC.
