hmm...That's an interesting thing you brought up Paul.  How is it on your other board (English Amiga Board)?

The upside is that more people will post questions since they will not be forced to register and provide any personal information.

The downside is that we will lose count of registered members.

I think a good compromise would be to allow guests to be able to post only in one forum.  The "General PC Questions" forum perhaps.

What does everyone else think?

I agree with Ali,the only problem I can think of is,if they posted obscenities or stupid posts you would have no way of banning them.

Yes that’s a good point Bob.

How does banning IP numbers work?

Anyway It's just me thinking of how to get more activity. If we do this probably General PC Questions and Web Development?

You're absolutely right.  IP banning can be used to block certain guests.  I say it's worth a try.  :)

Just thought I'd let you know, guests can now reply to topics but they can't start a new topic.  I'll have a word with the support members of ikonboard to see if they can help.
