Hi, this is my first post here. Ali talked to me about this thing and I was pretty interested. I usually write stories; this is the only article which I actually have typed. I realize that it has a more "literary" than philosophical air. Some might consider it rediculous. It's about a possible way to view life.

Here's an extract:
QUOTE
Lately, I have been of the tendency to perceive mankind as a process; a process that has spanned and will continue to span billions of years; unless it is not a perpetual process. My default mindset insists on each process having an end. When Nietzsche spoke of Man being an end in itself, I believe he was referring to the archetype Man; what he called Superman. In pondering upon my understanding of Nietzsche’s statements I observe the possibility of asserting my own opinions to his words. This is another way of saying that I not only perceive mankind as a process but as a process towards a Superman.

Well... enjoy! Comments appreciated.

Thanks for registering Rayes. original.gif

Great paper. I read through it a number of times and picked out two main themes:

1. The inevitable interactions of humans and their works are constantly refining man (man/woman) and bringing him closer to the perfect rendition called "Superman" that can never really be reached so long as there is life.

2. You refer to this process of human development as a "series", and it is a single entity in the sense that the final goal has never changed for humans.

Is that accurate? One thing I didn't understand is the point made about multiple series in the paragraph starting with "One more note on the..."

I really enjoyed reading that paper Rayes, you diddn't bore us with facts and you wrote exactly how you think about that particular subject. My parents also enjoyed reading it (it's pretty hard to impress them laugh.gif) , keep them coming Rayes thumbsup.gif

Wow thanks guys, that's a booster!

Thanks first for converting it to pdf, Ali. The points you noted are quite accurate, and the second one is especially comprehensive of the whole text. As to that multiple series paragraph I'll try clarifying it to you when I see you next time tounge.gif otherwise, I might have to consider revising the text itself.

Selkie, I'm glad you enjoyed it along with your parents ("spreading the word"! thumbsup.gif ).

I really appreciate the time you, or anyone else, spent on this article.

That inspired me to write a seventeen word ballad entitled " Hell, thet was an awesome paper"
