In Apple-fanboy-like style I'm going to dedicate this post to talking about a very cool product I read about yesterday and make note of its sleek exterior, amazing curves and great display. I may get carried away, so read no further if you're at work.

Of course this gem of a product is the very cool Toshiba Portégé R400. There are some lovely pictures of it on Toshiba Direct (see links below) that you have to check out. If looks were all that counted, I'd seriously consider saving up for one, but unfortunately, there are a few things that bother me about it such as the 1.2GHz CPU and the lack of a dedicated graphics card.

Here's the scoop:

The R400 is a convertible tablet that not only looks extremely cool, but comes with a great widescreen, Windows Vista Ultimate preloaded and an external screen Toshiba calls Edge Display that uses Microsoft's Active Notifications to automatically receive or retrieve emails etc. Also, a post on Lenova Blogs mentions, with some admiration, Toshiba's solution to the problem of the single hinge on tablets. What they've done is they've placed two tabs on either side of the body that lock the screen in place when it's in tablet or normal mode.
